Frangipane Recipe

Frangipane is a very tasty base for all kinds of cakes. The almond flavor is typical of this basic recipe and super delicious!

Ingredients 

  • 100 grams almond flour
  • 100 grams caster sugar
  • 2 eggs M
  • 100 grams unsalted butter

Instructions

  • Combine the almond flour and sugar in the bowl of a stand mixer with the paddle attachment or use an electric mixer. Add the eggs and beat on low speed until incorporated. Do the same with the butter until smooth and even.
  • Frangipane is used as a filling in a tart, galette, tartelette or cake and must be baked before you can eat it.
Tips
Follow the recipe for baking time. When combining recipes, you may need to adjust the baking time slightly. How much varies from recipe to recipe, but a good rule of thumb is to check if the filling is done by the color (starting to turn a nice golden brown). A better check is to use a skewer. If it comes out clean, the frangipane filling is done.
